Los Angeles City firefighters work to put out a blaze at a scrap metal yard in the 1900 block of North Blinn Avenue, Between Lomita Ave. and Pacific Coast Highway in Wilmington, Calif., on June 5, 2010. Firefighter responded to the blaze at 11:34 a.m. The fire was still burning ferociously and sending up a huge plume of smoke near the Port of Los Angeles 100 minutes after the first dispatch but around 2:00 p.m. the smoke was turning white and beginning to die down.
